Tina Donaldson
Tina has more than 20 years of experience driving strategic initiatives from concept to execution across high-growth mobile, voice/messaging, identity and financial industries. As a leader at Google, she influenced, negotiated, and ultimately revolutionized the SMS space, working with wireless carriers and industry to allow businesses to text message over normal telephone numbers, which still exists today. She is a well-known thought leader within the Communications / Mobile / Messaging / CPaaS community with a vast global network due to her proven track record of establishing relationships with partners and cross-functional team members to drive go-to-market activities, reduce costs, and increase revenue.
Prior to Google, Donaldson innovated a financial instrument known as student securities in the State of California, whereby a certain percentage of students’ tuition is paid in exchange for a percentage of future income. Elements of the payment program are currently leveraged in lending schemas across the globe. She also authored and published documentation of the program in the book “Financing Human Capital,” published by the University of Virginia.
