Phil Koblence
Phillip Koblence is a strategic executive and thought leader in the data center and network space, known for his ability to bridge the gap between business and technology, identify opportunities in complex markets, and facilitate digital infrastructure and connectivity solutions across industries.
He co-founded NYI in 1996 and scaled the company from a single data center in lower Manhattan to a robust network with executional capabilities in key national and international markets. His focus on customer experience has positioned NYI as an industry leader in high-touch infrastructure and connectivity solutions.
More recently, Phillip co-founded the Nomad Futurist Foundation and podcast, to demystify the world of critical infrastructure, empower younger generations through exposure to the underlying technologies that power our digital world, and help develop a new pipeline of talent for the industry.
Phillip is a frequent speaker at industry events and has been profiled by Data Center Knowledge, TheWHIR, MSPMentor, and NJ BIZ. He serves on the DE-CIX North America Advisory Board and as Vice Chair of OIX, a non-profit organization that promotes Internet standards for fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory access to interconnection. Phillip is also Advisor to several companies including Apolo and Cool Vector media and holds executive positions at Critical Ventures and United Integrity Advisors leveraging his deep industry knowledge to assist clients with their digital infrastructure assets. Phillip is a Top 10 Data Center Influencer on LinkedIn and the recipient of the 2023 IM100 Infrastructure Masons Award. He has an engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
