Michael Wheeler is the Executive Vice President of the Global IP Network Division at NTT DATA, a subsidiary of the NTT Group, a $30+ billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.

Michael is responsible for all business and operational aspects of the Global IP Network organization around the world, serving in this role since 2009.  Prior to his current role, Michael led the Global IP Network sales and business development organization, including direct sales, account management, indirect channel sales, sales engineering, marketing, product management and business development activities in the Americas.  Michael was part of the original start up team with Verio in 1997, where he led several different sales organizations.  He transitioned to a senior leadership role at NTT America following the acquisition of Verio by NTT America’s parent company, NTT Communications, in August of 2000.

Previously, Michael served as a principal at StreamGroup, and served in a senior management role with Expotel Corporation, as well as being a co-founder of Cyber Mortgage, which was acquired by IndyMac Bank.
