Wouter is a seasoned professional in the internet industry, with over two decades of experience spanning commercial and leadership roles. He currently serves as the Commercial Director Wholesale for Western Europe at RETN GmbH. Wouter joined RETN in 2024, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge from his previous 17 years in commercial and management positions at various service providers and internet exchange points (IXPs), where he focused on strategic and commercial initiatives.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Wouter has been deeply involved in the internet community, where he’s an elected founding board member of Global Peering Forum Inc. (established in 2015), serving as the Secretary and contributing to the mission to advance the business interests of individuals involved in peering and interconnection.
