Tara Risser, President of the Americas, is responsible for management, strategy and growth in the Americas region, including operations in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Canada, and the U.S.

Prior to her current role, Tara served as Senior Vice President, Global Customer Care and Experience at Equinix, and transformed the organization to one of proactive customer engagement and support, ensuring a positive, purposeful experience for customers in their digital leadership journeys.

As a champion of community and belonging, Tara is deeply committed to supporting inclusion efforts both within the company and externally, including serving as a board member for Shadhika, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to gender equality in India.

Prior to joining Equinix in 2015, Tara spent more than 15 years in customer-facing roles, most recently at Level 3 Communications, including leadership positions in Sales Effectiveness, Integration, Sales Engineering and Customer Care.

Tara holds her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
