Patrick George is the CEO of iBASIS. He brings 30 years of extensive experience in the global telecommunications industry, having held numerous C-suite positions across mobile business, marketing, and product innovation. Patrick led the new acquisition of the Telstra International Wholesale business and played a pivotal role in acquiring and integrating several other companies, including Altice N.V. International Carriers in France, Portugal, and the Dominican Republic, NOS ICS, Simfony, and DIMOCO Messaging. These strategic moves made iBASIS truly global, expanding its footprint and presence in the Asia-Pacific region and solidifying its position as the first independent communications specialist in the industry.
Before iBASIS, Patrick served as Senior Vice President of Global Solutions at Syniverse, where he helped the company expand its operations outside North America and launch its consulting product line following its acquisition by Carlyle. Before Syniverse, Patrick was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at BICS, responsible for global product management across voice, messaging, and mobile data segments and overseeing marketing strategies. He also served on the Steering Committee of the i3 Forum, contributing to industry standards and advancements.

Patrick's career also includes a senior consulting role at PCCW, where he developed strategies for mobile operator engagement and extensive consulting work with various telecommunications companies. He has been a speaker at numerous international communications conferences and summits, sharing his insights into industry trends and innovations.
