Drew Johnson leads a team of over 20 professionals under Oppidan Connect, Oppidan’s data center platform, specializing in build-to-suit data center development nationwide. Currently, Oppidan Connect is under construction or actively engaged with data center developers across 13 states, for over 1.1 GW of full-build data center capacity.
Drew joined Oppidan in 2014, and in 2016, he played a key role in launching the company’s data center platform by completing a site selection assignment for an international hyperscale client. This project opened the door to new opportunities, leading to Oppidan’s first powered shell delivery in Northern Virginia in 2018. Since then, the company has completed over 1.4 GW of developments across powered shell, hybrid-turnkey, and full-turnkey data centers.
Today, Oppidan Connect focuses on hyperscale build-to-suit projects, data center campus development, and strategic partnerships with capital groups and landowners to bring viable data center sites to market.
